This client had never undertaken any building work before and was new to the whole process! We were happy to guide them through every stage. They had inherited a bungalow and wanted to modernise it, adding a new first floor and extending to the rear.

Removing the roof and creating a master suite to the first floor would maximize the views over the countryside. We were asked to design a balcony to the front, an open plan living area on the ground floor with an additional shower room featuring a walk-in shower.

Lighting was a big consideration. All the lighting in the bathrooms needed to be on PIR sensors with lower level night time lighting coming on automatically.

Music is important to our client so we integrated speakers into the ceiling and designed a surround sound system. For improved accessibility, the threshold was levelled out into the patio area and the garden was re-landscaped with granite slabs and timber decking to the hot tub area.

The project was completed in October 2016
